With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Equipment East has secured a position in DEVELON’s list of top dealers nine times in the last decade. The company had previously been recognized in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and now in 2022.
Owned by Giovanni Albanese and business partner Andrea Ciano, Equipment East operates dealerships in Dracut and Brockton, Massachusetts, as well as Bow, New Hampshire. Giovanni and his wife — Gilda Albanese, Administrative Director at Equipment East — said they attribute the company’s success to the collective effort of their employees.

"It is all about the team. This is a team effort, and nobody can do anything alone," Giovanni said. "When it comes to success, it’s always been the same. If you do all of the little things right, success is a side effect. So at the end of the day, we don’t get sales by pursuing them. We do all the little things."
Equipment East's journey began in September 2009 when Giovanni founded the company. Headquartered in Dracut, Massachusetts, Equipment East introduced DEVELON equipment (formerly Doosan) into its offerings in 2013. The company's growth continued with the completion of a new 43,000-square-foot Dracut dealership in 2016. The following year, Equipment East established a second location in Bow. In 2020, the company achieved another milestone with the opening of its third dealership in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Equipment East is a full-service, authorized DEVELON heavy equipment dealer, providing equipment, parts, and service in each of its three locations.
“The quality of the [DEVELON] machine is second to none,” Giovanni said. “And then on top of that, you have the support from the people at DEVELON and the people at Equipment East and all of the sales programs that we offer. ... There are a lot of things that DEVELON does that are second to none, starting with the quality of the equipment."
Customers of Equipment East have access to a wide range of construction equipment for purchase, rent, or lease. The company's central goal revolves around enhancing productivity and profitability for customers while maintaining affordability and quality.
“We put [customers] first because we started as a construction company, so we know what customers need and what it takes to service them,” Gilda said. “We put their needs first, and we know what equipment they need to get their job done. Every customer gets the same level of service, whether they're a small landscaping company or whether they’re a huge construction company. We strive to provide excellent service to all our customers no matter their size."
In addition to equipment sales, rental, and leasing, Equipment East’s team of certified and factory-trained technicians can repair various equipment models using the most up-to-date diagnostic tools. Preventive maintenance services are also offered. To service DEVELON engines, the technicians earn factory certifications and use a computerized fault-tracing system. Emergency service is available to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
