TWDB Approves Financial Assistance Totaling Over $3B for Water and Wastewater Projects

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves financial assistance totaling $3,031,935,000 for water and wastewater projects through the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas program and Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

  • $16 million to the Bistone Municipal Water Supply District (Limestone County) for a water supply project
  • $200 million to the Palo Pinto County Municipal Water District No. 1 (Palo Pinto and Parker counties) for a water supply project
  • $195.85 million to the City of Denton (Denton County) for a water supply project
  • $125 million to the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant County) for a water supply project
  • $90.5 million to the City of Greenville (Hunt County) for a water supply project
  • $11.35 million to the City of Marshall (Harrison County) for a wastewater system improvement project
  • $320.85 million to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (Fannin, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Grayson, Hunt, and Wise counties) for a water supply project
  • $162 million to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (Denton and Collin counties) for a water supply project
  • $747.5 million to the Brazosport Water Supply Corporation (Brazoria County) for a reservoir expansion project
  • $320 million to the Coastal Water Authority (Harris County) for a water supply project
  • $138 million to the Alliance Regional Water Authority (Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Comal, and Bexar counties) for a water system improvement project
  • $25 million to the City of Austin (Travis County) for a water system improvement project
  • $22.16 million to the City of Austin (Travis County) for a wastewater system improvement project
  • $24.92 million to the Canyon Regional Water Authority (Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and Wilson counties) for a water system improvement project
  • $87.71 million to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (Guadalupe, Comal, Hays, and Caldwell counties) for a water supply project
  • $535.11 million to the City of Corpus Christi (Nueces County) for a seawater desalination plant
  • $10 million to the Laguna Madre Water District (Cameron County) for a seawater desalination plant
