Constance, a Division Manager, graduated from the Senior Executive Program, which trains participants on how to build a high performing team and understand the rapidly changing construction industry while taking care of their mental, emotional, and physical health.
"I recognized the benefit of ABA’s educational programs after graduating from the Leadership Development Forum in 2020 and was excited to further strengthen my leadership skills with the Senior Executive Program,” Constance said. “During this program, I gained tools to navigate the changes of our industry while maintaining a strong team and my own well-being.”
Hughes, Chief Estimator at Rosendin and an employee of the company for nearly a decade, graduated from ABA’s Leadership Development Forum, an intense year-long program focused on management skills, leadership, and public speaking.
“The ABA’s leadership program provided a lot of management tools, and I learned even more about the construction industry that had previously been outside of my wheelhouse as an estimator,” Hughes said. “I learned to evaluate the health of a company, how to identify red flags in a job, and how to work with other departments within the company including operations and project management.”

Cook, a Senior Project Manager, completed the Women in Leadership program which provides women with tools to advance their leadership skills, learn best practices from women colleagues in the industry, and positively impact their organizations.
She said the start of the program coincided with her moving to a new project and allowed her to navigate her new role more effectively.
“One of my favorite things I’ll take away from the program is to always let people know you appreciate them,” Cook said. “We each kept a book that we called a ‘grateful book,’ and we would write a note of gratitude in a classmate’s book each week.”
The ABA represents more than 300 member companies — including Rosendin — across the state offering education, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy on behalf of the commercial construction industry. Education opportunities include programs, seminars, and apprenticeship opportunities.
“It’s an honor to see how much the graduates grow through our programs,” ABA President Kimberly Davids said. “Each participant gains knowledge and relationships that will enrich their careers, and it’s exciting to celebrate their achievements as they continue to make their impact on the construction industry.”
